The Fox

 

In the freezing cold of Iceland there was a icy cold snow storm approaching from up north. Amongst the storm was a little orange fox. the storm was making a blur a mucky white in the air and surrounding the ground with piles and piles of snow.

 The little fox had smooth orange fur coated with snow, he has a large tale which is also orange to keep him warm. his little pointy black ears poking out from the top of his head, his ears help him find food.

 his stomach is white and blends in with the snow and half his face is snow white as well. his big black eyes squint to see better though the snowy air.

His paws were black like night and guide him through the snow. his little snow covered black nose is idle to sniff out prey. 

Summer Learning Journey

 

Today my class got to do a taster of what the summer learning journey was like. We got to do this online art book and I made these to drawings.

School Camp Experience

 On Tuesday  and Wednesday my school had a camp experience, because we missed camp  when Covid 19 hit.

on Tuesday year 6's went to inflatable world and bowling, we had to catch a bus ride there (I'm scared of buses so it wasn't fun.)  We arrived at inflatable world and me Logan and Jack went strait on this little wheel that you had to jump on. Next I went in line to do this thing were you smack people with a inflated stick. I also went on this obstacle coarse a lot because that was really fun. Next we ate some food and went to zone bowling, it was really fun but I came second to last twice. We only got two rounds and those rounds were very fun.

The next day we went to flip out we all got to play on the trampolines and we got do laser strike too. I was the 3rd group to do laser strike but before that I went on basically every trampoline before I went to laser strike. at laser strike I didn't do very well but in the team match my team won yay! After laser strike I learnt how to do a cart wheel into a front flip.

Under Threat: Quick Write

The year is 2050, 14 years ago the alien invasion started they had taken over most countries now there were 7 remaining countries. those countries were u.s.a,  Canada,  Russia, Spain, France, china and new Zealand. All the countries went to meet up in Russia to make a plan. The countries decided to use bombs tanks jets and explode things to destroy them.

  A dum little boy named Samuel decided to be a jet pilot. The attacks started and the battle had begun... back in Russia there was thousands of guards and many more people but as the jets flew over Germany they drop the bombs, except Samuel he jumped out of his plane with Leon (who was a co pilot) jumped onto Reuben's plane who also jumped out and we went onto Aidans  and all 4 of us jumped onto the smartest person in the world Tama's plane. 

as he droped the bombs with his multi didget computer after turning on the stabilise steering and went back to fill up computer gas canisters.

Tama knew that the dum boys were on his plane because of his 4 dimension upward camera he landed safely. Yay!

Quick Write 2020: Adrift

A old Wise villager from a small island in the Pacific ocean 100 miles away from japan, wanted to find a different land. The town leader said if he found a new land he could stay at the island, if not he would be hung, but first he had to make a boat. He got wood from around the town and found tires from the beach he put them all together got some food and set sail. He sailed out into the ocean and the whole town cheered. after two days he had sailed 20 miles north east and was heading directly for Russia. but one night a terrible storm was blown towards him, he got caught in the storm and was nearly flipped withen seconds. lightning strikes lit up the sky and thunder rumbled in the back ground, by then he had lost lots of food and was very cold. He was now 95 miles away from Thailand the storm pushed him south very far.he made it to Thailand and he didn't get a warm welcome. he was given some food given a camera so he could take pictures and kick out in 5 minutes. The man made it home to see the mayor ready to throw a snake at him he was just a few feet away from land when the back off his boat was smashed by a shark the man garbed the camera and swam to shore. he showed the man pictures but he wasn't satisfied, he didn't like that there was so much humans, moving things, smoke and houses the man was  thrown in a snake pit with fire and the snakes escaped and the island tribe went extinct.

Quick Write 2020: The Lost Ship

 

150 years ago, a lost ship called st Jakob's was lost on a voyage across the Bermuda triangle. At the time lots of ships and planes have been lost over the Bermuda triangle. St Jakob's had 65 passengers and  was heading from Bermuda to Florida, st Jakob's was a wooden ship and had made 43 voyages in its career. but one night, they went off course in a storm and sailed further into the Bermuda triangle there were 4 life boats not enough for all 65 crew mates. The ship started shaking violently then barrel rolled in a wave, 7 men were swiped of deck the rest of the crew pilled into the life boats some not getting in. The ship was found 9 days later with 14 dead body's on board, two life boats sank and only 16 crew survived. 

Quick Write 2020: Twinkle Twinkle Little Flame

 

In a small town in Germany, two little boys named Hugo and Matthew both 4 years old were huddling round a small lit candle. It was very early in the morning and the two boys looked like silhouette. The  towns air was moist and had dark blue setting, there were many houses along a dead end road. The lantern was mettle and and had a small candle that lit up about 2 feet around the boys. The boys admired the candle as the rest of the town was in there homes hiding from the cold. As it started to snow, the boys didn't budge they stayed right there looking at the candle.

My story :)

As I enter the shopping mall, I hear a blast of booming music and loud background voices. I walked past a row of shops and onto a escalator, the escalator makes a faint buzzing noise as it goes upwards. I walk past another row of shops I hear mothers hushing baby's as they cry when they don't get the toy they want.

You can see large palm trees, with glimmering Christmas lights swirling around them. The shop windows filled from top to bottom with Christmas toys or decorations. Lights on both the shops and side railings blind you as you walk by. Many people walk up and down around the multi story mall, buying food, toys or furniture as they walk by.

You can taste and smell food around every corner because there is either a bakery, a fast food store or a restaurant you can eat at. Theirs freshly cooked burgers and fries at MacDonald's, nice surgery donuts at bakery's, Delicious food around every corner. 

You can feel fluffy blankets at furniture stores and warm food at food sources. When you try and walk around the crowded shopping mall, people bump into you no matter how careful you are. You can feel the blasting heat coming from all around the mall.

The Carnival Description

 As I enter, the carnival I see many glimmering lights flashing down on me, toothless carnies playing on some of the games with the glowing lights shining with the purple sky with the hot pink smoke.  As I enter, I rush over to the giant ferris wheel which is lopping round and round. I see the excitement on peoples faces as they play on the rides. I hop one the ferris and as I reach the top I look over the carnival bliding rainbow lights and charting people is what I can see.

I hop on the ferris wheel to go get some food. I smell the buttery popcorn popping away. The smell of freshly cooked hotdogs getting put into buttery buns all over the carnival you can smell an array of delicious unique food. You can smell some burning lights because the lights have been on for hours, the oven smells of all sorts of foods.

You can hear the pumping carnival music from miles away, You can hear blood curling terrified screams with a mix of joyful screams you can hear the sizzling food coming from the oven. In the background you can hear ambient chatter, with the parents of most of the kids saying stay close.

I can taste lots of Delicious foods like the swell of candy floss swirling around my mouth or the buttery salty popcorn. But let’s go in order, first I had a yummy  burger with lettuce, beetroot and other good stuff. Next I had fries they were salty and nothing else (im fussy). For desert I had a double scoop of caramel ice cream, that buttery salty popcorn and the candy floss, to finish off what I ate.

As I sit down in the roler coster seat, I feel the cold metal bar come down on me to keep me safe. The seats of the roller coaster aren’t comfortable like the seats on the ferris wheel, the pillows as soft as candy floss. You are aloud to touch the sheep and horse’s, there fur feels fluffy like a afro. 

As  I leave the fair ground my face goes from happy to disappointed I loved the fair ground, (even know i’ve never been to one in real life). I even didn’t get to go on like 2 of the rides. 

Prize Giving

 On the last day of the school holidays I went to my soccer prize giving. the whole parkland soccer committee was there. When i got there I couldn't find my team after a while of looking I found them. Me and some of my team played in a real cool hedge witch was good for climbing in we came back to where my team was and we sat and talked about when prize giving was happening. Most of my team was going to play in a big bush, then a disaster happened! i wasn't looking where I was going and walked into barb wire my knee was bleeding and i had to get a plaster. When prize giving started, we had to wait for ages for the other grades to have there turn. but when it was our turn, i got player of the year and i was super excited. i got my photo taken. When the prize giving ended i rushed home to escape the traffic. the end! 

Quick Write: Boys On The Wing

29.5.2039 Two dum German boys named Samuel and Reuben are on a large plane zooming across the bright blue sky. Reuben has small brown boots, green jeans and small blue jacket, Samuel has light brown shoes, blue jeans and a similar jacket. 

They were on a large German plane soaring above Frankfurt Germany. the blue and white plane had a long wing span a huge tail and engines the size of boulders. They were 24,000 feet above sea level!

On the ground  of Frankfurt it was rainy and miserable, but above the clouds there was no rain it was just bright and sunny.

The plane is roaring at 1000000 miles per hour and heading strait for a massive office building in France.

     Bacteria

Microscopic organisms 

are not all bad

Some are good but if you had

a bacterial disease such as cholera,

meningitis, Lyme disease,

diphtheria

you will be sad 

But good bacteria is extra rad 

Once you get rid of the bad 

Pathogens which causes lots

Of bacterial diseases

In the middle of the forest, a wild mouse has made a burrow. Every couple of hours the mouse pop's his head out of the burrow to see if predators were around. One day, the brown and white mouse peeped his head out to see a pile of cheese!

Once at a local zoo there was a popular monkey. His name was Mr monkey man. At the zoo it always rained so Mr monkey man always had his leaf umbrella whit him . When its raining Mr monkey man always takes shelter under his leaf. This is why the visoters loved him. once all humans on earth disaperd except one. That one person was me. All the animals in the world came to new Zealand and i played with them all the time off coarse Mr monkey man was my favourite followed by a panda then a cat. We all lived in a GIANT house we all had what we needed to have and to survive. Overall me and every living thing and sea creature lived happy ever after.

Quick Write: Tarzan The Muscle Man.

There was once a boy named Tarzan the muscle man. He was training for the skate Olympics. Tarzan the muscle man trains 24/7 so he can win. After a couple of weeks  Tarzan the muscle man had to play a qualifier. In the qualifier Tarzan did so well only top 100 qualifies for the skate Olympics. Tarzan the muscle man was in 18th out of 348 will competitors. But on his last trick a kick flip into a grind. He slipped and cut his knee. the judge read the names of the 100 qualifiers and Tarzan the muscle man finished 98th! A close call. 6 weeks later the skate Olympics started.

Brax is a strong teenager 

Whose eyes were as blue as a ocean

He has mint breathe with a hint of strawberry

Brax is strong but super slow 

 You will probably beat him in a race

When Brax hits you 

You will be in hospital really quickly

Brax is holding a baseball bat 

It's his favourite sport 

Brax has a voice deeper than the sea

  on my agar agar plate i can see green and white moulds And two bacteria Colony.

How i got the moulds and the bacteria colony on my agar agar plate: we swabed a surface with a cotton stick thing and the wait for a bit.

Under Water Life

In the depths of the sea you can see hundreds of fish, Sharks, Octopus and many more sea creatures. Brightly coloured coral surrounds a treasure chest. behind the coral and sea life, theirs a sunken ship. The ships name is "The Flying Dutch man." Its a ship that is said to be haunted! Many people say they have seen this ghost ship, there is even a camp fire story about it. The sea is quite dark the sun light brightening it up. Would you go and explore the sunken ship?

Magic Biscuits

Once there was a farm witch had two dogs Josh and Macey. One day there owner Stuart went to the mall and bought a giant pack of dog biscuits. That evening Stuart gave the dogs a bowl each. Josh ate his first followed by Macey. The next day Stuart was shocked to see his dogs were the size trees! What now Stuart wondered.

Maori colonisation Learning :)

We have been learning about how Maori were treated when NZ was first colonised.

Maori was NZ's most spoken language in the 19th century. Then the British came. At first 125,000 Maori could speak Te reo but  as more English  came to NZ the language started to die out.

Settlers bought in diseases to NZ and lots of Maori people were killed because they were not immune to these sicknesses and diseases and Maori numbers were taken down. 

As school started in new Zealand many Maori got canned and strapped for speaking Te reo in school hours and on school grounds they weren't aloud to communicate with people using Maori speech.  

Maori people (and some English) call for an amendment in 1867 there were 300 people that called for the amendment.

What i think 

I think Maori should of got treated a lot better and its sad how they got treated. 

Basketball Tik Tak Toe

Today for monday mashup we played basket ball tik tik toe. we got put in four teams and you had to get the ball in the hoop, if you got it in the hoop you can put a bib on the tik tak toe board. The first to get three in a row on the board wins! You need some basketballs, chalk to make the board, something to put on the board, netball or basketball hoops, and people :) It was super duper awesome!
